Meditation 101 – Beginners


Meditation 101, our beginner’s course, teaches the foundations of mindfulness-based meditation. Led by Dina Dare, an experienced meditators with more than 25 years combined practice, the course is aimed at those wishing to learn directly the benefits of meditation and start incorporating it into your daily life.

What will you learn?

  • Correct posture and ways to sit
  • What to expect from mindfulness meditation
  • Several different meditation techniques

What is the format?

  1. A discussion at the beginning
  2. Short guided meditation
  3. Silent meditation
  4. Journalling
  5. Sharing our experiences afterwards

2020 dates:

In 2020 this course will run on Tuesdays during Terms 1 and 3.

Term One:
Feb: 4, 11, 18, 25
Mar: 3, 10, 17, 24
(8 weeks)

Term Three:
Jul: 14, 21, 28
Aug: 4, 11, 18, 25
Sep: 1
(8 weeks)

Time: 6:30pm – 7:45pm

Venue: Maroondah Federation Estate, Greenwood Ave, Ringwood, Victoria

Course fee: $80 – includes all materials.

Mats, stools and cushions provided.
